Science World is pleased to announce the Body Worlds & The Brain Exhibition starting September 16,2010

In this latest exhibition by anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens, the brain takes centre stage, giving us a unique view of how this vital organ and animating force transforms itself continually throughout our lives. This Vancouver premiere features recent findings in neuroscience, including information on brain development, function, disease, disorders and performance.

Two‐hundred real body specimens, including full‐body plastinates, refined portrait photography and multimedia make up this acclaimed study in anatomy and neuroscience.

The organs and whole‐body plastinates were derived from generous body donors and up to date, over 10,000 donors have bequeather their bodies to Dr. von Hagens’ research.

Although sure to be a very educational, and fascinating experience, this exhibit is not for the queazy or faint hearted!
